ZATRANO 2.1.0 IS RELEASED
A new milestone for ZATRANO — and an important step in how we think about building Go applications.
ZATRANO is evolving beyond the traditional “framework” model into an application platform focused on one principle:
Less magic. More correctness.
What’s new in 2.1.0?
Four explicit application profiles
`zatrano new myapp` → Empty
`zatrano new myapp --web` → Web
`zatrano new myapp --api` → API
`zatrano new myapp --full` → Web + API
Empty is now the default: an opinion-free application foundation.
Web and API are not reduced editions. They are full-capacity ZATRANO applications with different presentation defaults.
Incremental composition
Existing applications can now evolve without being recreated:
`zatrano add:web`
`zatrano add:api`
The important part is that existing application behavior is preserved.
A Web application remains Web-first.
An API application remains API-first.
No destructive regeneration. No silent overwrites.
Safer generation
The generator architecture now uses:
Apply + Overlay
Generated files can be safely added or upgraded when they are known, exact generated stubs — while user-modified source remains untouched.
No fuzzy source matching.
No guessing.
No magic rewriting.
G-001: Upgrade safety
Framework upgrades must not rewrite application source code.
This principle remains intact in 2.1.0.
Your application belongs to you.
A clean framework / packages boundary
ZATRANO Framework does not depend on the ZATRANO Packages ecosystem.
Applications explicitly consume the capabilities they need.
This keeps the core small, predictable and independently evolvable.
Full means presentation — not everything
`–full` does not mean “enable every package”.
It means:
Web + API
Database, authentication, queues, notifications, AI, RAG and other capabilities remain explicit choices.
That distinction matters.
ZATRANO 2.1.0 is not simply a collection of more features.
It is a step toward a platform where architecture, correctness and developer intent are explicit.
ZATRANO 2.1.0 — Released.
Build serious software. Built right.
