Win32/Packed.GoLang_AGen.AO

Eset antivirus have just removed C:\Program Files\Go\pkg\tool\windows_amd64\asm.exe because of variant Win32/Packed.GoLang_AGen.AO.

Eset also noted, that this event occured, when C:\Program Files\Go\bin\go.exe tries to run that executable.

I have installed Go 1.23.1 from official amd64/msi recently.

I saw previous thread about trojan, is this also false positive?

Don’t worry, it’s not a day or two for security software to go crazy, as long as you know what you’re doing, then trust it. (Although I’ve given up on developing things on Win, I’m only writing on macOS and Ubuntu at the moment.)
