Software Engineer - Corp IT V

Nature of the Project:

It is transition project. Transitioning from python to go language -
Project is designed at a high level – the present role is maintaining the architecture. No front end, only back end work -
Potentially a contract opening.
Hiring manager is looking for:
-
5-10 years’ experience, with hands on experience in delivering projects -
Hands on actual development experience in Python -
Management experience is not required, totally technical -
Extensive experience in python and go language, must do the transition from python to go language -
Hands on experience with the go implementation -
Must be a no maintenance person who can work on his own without much guidance -
Must have worked in large projects -
Not really looking for certifications -
No particular framework experience required - No experience in cloud platform required
- Must bear the capability of designing systems and delivering the project
- Typically integration experience is desired
Has high level of knowledge of relevant technologies; May direct others. Works on issues that impact department success or address future concepts, products or technologies.
May integrate research and emerging technologies into company product platforms.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Preferred 10+ years relevant experience

Preferred technical certifications; may advise on technology certification councils

Acknowledged expert of a complex functional area or technology platform (e.g., designed the data warehouse, can create architecture / implementation on core components & frameworks, can architect or implement any complex project within BU or x-BU.)

Has demonstrated ability to implement major foundational technical changes.

Has ability to architect, lead or make any technical or architecture decision or change for any complex project within BU

Able to advise and/or execute on any technical question within the BU or function

You have written code that others can understand, support, maintain, and expand

Has demonstrated consistent, successful delivery over time.

Is considered a consummate problem solver who can identify root cause across system boundaries quickly

Demonstrated ability to think and solve problems strategically and in a way that can support the function over time

Solid understanding of inter-dependencies between his/her functional areas and other functional area, both upstream and downstream.
-Expert in a major technology employed in IT development: required Python or go (golang), familiar with SOA.

Solid understanding of the architecture of the major functional platform(s) within the group or

Defines policies and best practices at SFDC. E.g., standards, ‘’’‘How to’’’’ documents delivered to peers, demonstration and influence about adopting test driven development, implementation of a continuous integration framework, tuning of DoD requirements
