I’ve been working on REW, an open-source CLI written in Go.
It captures failed go build ./... executions into portable capsules that can be replayed offline with Docker, without the original project checkout.
The current release is v0.1.0-alpha.5, focused on Go 1.26.6. I’ve tested it on a small Go project and Cobra with an intentionally introduced compilation error.
There’s a quickstart and GIF demo in the README.
I’m looking for developers willing to try it and report cases where capture or replay fails.
