Malformed integer

Hello, How are you?
I’ve been going through your course and it is super good.

I encountered this error

malformed integer constant:08
malformed octal constant

why am I getting this error when I don’t get an error for 02, 10, 16( just in case if the error is because of the numeral system) why is it only 08 producing an error??

A leading 0 indicates an octal number, octal numbers have only digits 0 to 7.
