Looking for part-time golang work

I am looking for part-time golang work. I have been designing and building mostly in Java for the past 20 years, but build go on the side as a hobby to learn the language and automate some tasks.

I realize that since I don’t professionally work in go that I’d be starting out as a beginner go developer. I am interested in building more with go.

I use Linux, FreeBSD, and Apple personally, but Windows professionally (if required).

I am looking for some direction on where to directly apply to a position.

The main problem is perhaps that most development roles are full-time due to project deadlines to be met. Part-time roles could include being a Kubernetes operator, occasionally writing an operator in Go.

Contributing to an open source project could be a feasible (albeit unpaid) way of gaining experience with Go.
