Looking for Feedback on MirrorFly Android SDK for In-App Chat & Calls

Hi everyone,

I’m working on adding real-time chat and calling features to our Android app and came across MirrorFly’s Android SDK on GitHub:
:backhand_index_pointing_right: GitHub - MirrorFly/MirrorFly-Android-Sample: The #1 Custom CPaaS Video, Audio & Chat APIs. MirrorFly enables an easy and fast integration of standard CPaaS Solution like messaging, voice and video call features in new or existing apps.

From what I see, it supports 1-to-1 and group messaging, voice/video calls, push notifications, and it looks like they offer self-hosting too — which is a big plus for us as we want more control over data privacy.

Before I invest time in testing it deeply, I’d love to hear from anyone here who’s actually used it in production:

  • How smooth is the integration? Any big hurdles for Android?
  • How’s the SDK performance — battery, lag, message delivery speed?
  • Are the voice/video calls stable enough for real-world use?
  • How responsive is the support/documentation if you hit issues?
  • Any hidden costs or licensing gotchas?

Also open to any other good alternatives you’ve used for adding chat & VoIP to Android apps — especially if they support on-premise or self-hosting.

Any real-world feedback would really help. Appreciate any tips or warnings!

Thanks in advance!
