When reading a text file in UTF-8 format, a question mark (“?”) is read in the first position of that file. This happens for any text file in UTF-8 format.
I would like to know why this happens and what should I do to resolve this issue.
That’s probably the byte order mark.
Though hard to say anything specific, as I’m not sure how you check what got read.
Only valid way is to check they bytes, rather than glyphs/graphemes.
