I got an email from a job I applied for recently.
"While your qualifications have been reviewed against the requirements for the job opening, applicants who were more competitive have been referred first to the department for hiring consideration. However, the position has not yet been filled, you are still being considered, and may be referred at a later time. "
This is not an outright rejection right? Has anyone had an experience like this and still got the job?
