Hi Gophers,

I’m the Technology Manager at a telecom company based in Mexico. We’re looking to engage a software development firm (not individual freelancers) with proven Go experience to help us build a CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) on top of RapidPro.

This is a greenfield infrastructure project with clear technical ownership on our side — you’d be working alongside an architect, not just receiving tickets.

What we’re building:

  • A multi-tenant CPaaS layer for omnichannel messaging (SMS, WhatsApp, RCS)
  • REST/HTTP API exposure for business clients
  • Extensions and customizations to RapidPro’s core
  • High-throughput messaging pipeline

Ideal technical background:

  • Go in production — we’ll ask for repos or case studies, not just claims
  • Experience with messaging systems, SMPP, or telecom-adjacent infrastructure
  • Comfort designing microservice architectures
  • Bonus: prior work with RapidPro, TextIt, or similar open-source messaging platforms

Engagement details:

  • Remote — timezone overlap with Mexico (CST / UTC-6) is preferred but not hard required
  • Looking for a firm or structured team (3+ devs), not solo contractors
  • Budget is negotiable based on team size and scope definition
  • We’re open to a scoped discovery phase before full commitment
