In past years there was a cross-compile version of golang for Z/OS. Granted, it’s an old version and I know that it hasn’t been updated.
Does anyone know where the pieces are to cross-build golang for Z/OS? It seems there are some assets on the net but I believe one of the pieces (the raleigh server at IBM) is missing.
I would very much like to build this version of golang for Z/OS since the alternative, the SWIFT implementation works but has some problems with package management. Swift, with kitura and various components, is also much more complex of an environment to manage than golang. (i.e. swift is more work than golang)
Is there anyone out there who can comment on what I’ve written above?
