ActiveState looking for a Developer/Evangelist - RemoteOK

ActiveState, The Open Source Languages Company, is seeking a Developer/Evangelist with experience in open source languages and enterprise technologies. The Developer/Evangelist will advocate for and evangelize our open source languages stack, as well as working directly on our universal build system.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this is both a “developer” and an “evangelist” position: we are looking for a developer who can speak to other developers and both communicate the value of our language distros and understand and advocate for enterprise developer needs as a member of the ActiveState Languages Team.

Our open source languages currently include ActivePerl, ActivePython and ActiveTcl, with ActiveGo, ActiveRuby, ActiveNode and ActiveLua to be added in 2017.

The successful candidate is passionate about open source and unyielding in their commitment to seeing ActiveState’s language distributions succeed in enterprise markets. The Developer/Evangelist can be based at ActiveState’s headquarters in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, or work remotely.
