Old time programmer first learned in the 70’s. Benn working in many languages over the years (40 +) but really became more of a project/functional/financial resource over the years.

Retired now and even though I dabbled with C and C++ and Java (at least enough to learn the underlying concepts) decided to really learn deeply a modern language. Go seemed like a good choice.

Not sure what I will use it for - at this point I am helping a student write a better Solitaire playing algorithm.

I do have a number of arduinos with some basic code that I want to improve. I do some rudimentary things with LED strips
but I want to start having them communicating amongst themselves and responding to Alexa. Should I just stay with the basic arduino IDE (in python???) or go to GO???
