Weekly Wiki Wrapup - 2015-11-01

Editor’s note: Sorry for the lateness - long flight back from Sydney.

New packages added this week:

  • In the ‘not another Rails clone’ category, we have a code-generation approach to web frameworks, Goal.
  • The library used by Hashicorp for building their command line interfaces, like packer, serf and consul.
  • If you’d like to peg your CPU while compressing large files, check out pgzip, a multicore gzip, compatible with the standard library
  • Continuing the theme of ‘less is more’, we have compress which is a faster drop in replacements for gzip, zip, zlib, deflate
  • The naming might be questionable, but it is good to see eBay contributing to the Go ecosystem with fabio, their load balancing HTTP router for microservices.

Companies now using Go:

  • Got bills to pay? Don’t we all. But would you feel better with the Go-powered aspros Wallet?
  • Need stream processing for JSON data? Check out Appbase.
  • Industrial flow control - the fluid kind by Bürkert.
  • A taxi hailing service for Southeast Asai, GrabTaxi.
